Moira is the second generation on kinfolk from the Kavanaghs to be raised not knowing her heritage. Her grandfather after the death of his beloved wife, removed himself and their newborn son from the local Kin, and moved north of town. Leaving no forwarding address, or means to contact him, he did what he felt was necessary to sever all tie to the people who’s driving goals had taken his true love from him, and making him a bitter man. His Son Ian grew to manhood, never knowing his own proud heritage. But as fate would have it the girl he fell in love with, came from a family was also of the Kinfolk line, though a family that had been many hundreds of year lost. Back when the white howlers fell from grace, some of the kin that had escaped found refuge with the fianna kin, inter marrying and mingling their blood with eh Fianna.. It is from this line Moira’s mother comes the mixed blood of Fianna and white howler, though it has been 6 generation since the family line slipped through the cracks, and fell away from the rest of the kin. 6 generation that grew married, and went about their lives, never knowing the blood they carried in their veins.
At 16 Moira is a precocious child, full of life energy. Lately she has taken an interest in herbs and herbalism, even going as far to have a local woman Bride McKinny, to teach her a bit more, winning the older woman over by her tenacious spirit and seemingly natural talent. Though Bride has sense there is more the girl, she just doesn’t know how much more. On top of her burgeoning talent in this area, Moira is also slowly discovering another ‘talent’ that she can make people feel better, by drawing their pain into her self. Though it tends to leave her feeling what they felt, she finds the reward of seeing them feeling better worth the discomfort of a few bruises or hors of grief, since it always passes within a day.
